Tart's end of year statements. :) Hello and I have missed you all!!

Hello, Hello, Hello! It IS December 2012, it IS nearing Christmas time and New Year 2013, and I AM still Here!!! Yaaay!!! :)

It is also 3:52 in the a.m. and I..am..AWAKE.

I have a regular Dr.s appointment in the morning and I am going to be hating life when it comes time for me to wake up, if I do in fact go to sleep tonight.

Hunh. I have been doing well for a loooong time and I don't understand why I cannot sleep tonight. Could it be that little ol' cup of coffee at 3 p.m.this afternoon?

So I see that it has been since May of this year that I have blogged, so's there is much to catch up on. I should blog more often people, so I can remember what the heck to say. Why didn't you remind me people? Just kidding. I know you're busy. :)

I am going to peruse things, update the Goodstuff blog I think, too, and ponder what to tell you ALL about!

Sleep well, blogland.

Monday's 'Adventure' post.

The Carters, including Maybelle, June Carter (Cash's) mom.

I was thinking very hard about what to put on the Adventure of a JungleTart's blog, after knowing so easily what to put up on 'The Good Stuff' (go check it out).

I thought about updating you on my mental state. The update: I am still a little fragile, but I get a little better every day, perhaps quite shockingly having to do with an emergency medicine change done last week. I honestly didn't think it would work. It was hell to get through, but I think I won't be going into the hospital and that is just an unbelievable blessing.

So then I looked through My Pictures, of which I have many, and after posting about Johnny & June Carter on my other blog, well this one seemed perfect.

I don't know who each person is, I just know that it is the original Carters and that Maybelle Carter (June Carter's mom) is in it. I love old-timey anything, I love bluegrass, and this picture reminds me of family members that grew up in the Deep South.

I also think that it must have been rare for women to go out wearing/playing guitars & music and how pioneering these ladies were. I think it is beautiful and powerful. Good night to all.:)

(PS - Please pray for Denise's Dad who had a heart attack earlier today. I am thinking of you Denise, and your family. Love, 'Tart)

We are without hot water!!

Yes, as seemingly inevitably (according to my husband's somewhat negative attitude about things falling apart) something fell apart at home, actually two days ago.

I noticed when I went to wash my face two evenings ago that there was no hot water but Husband didn't think too much of it. He noticed it Yesterday, when trying to wash something in the clothes washer. We realized too, that when we ran the dishwasher, that was probably lacking in (wonderful sanitizing) hot water as well.

Hot water comes in HAN-dy, especially when it's cold outside and you don't want to freeze your bejeevers off in the shower. Nothing worse than being cold, naked and nothing but a thin towel to warm you up before you get dressed!!

Husband was home yesterday, as luck would have it, literally for a sick day. He is still not feeling well, but I think figuring out what to do about the water heater is going to be something we will be talking about!!

Speaking of Husband, I finished his scarf!! It's shown on the 'Good Stuff' page, along with a recipe for Chicken Vegetable Soup. Go check it out! www.jungletartsgoodstuff.blogspot.com

Announcement!

Did you guys know that my husband's cousin had her baby? One day earlier than expected actually, on October 24th. I reveal Baby's name on my good stuff blog, www.jungletartsgoodstuff.blogspot.com .

Even though, or especially because, I don't have children, I get really excited for people having babies. I'm still working on the 'birth record' cross-stitch for the parents of the baby (that's who you really give it to) to be given to them at Christmas.

I hope you have a good rest of the weekend.

And it all comes Tumbling out! (the new edition of Going's ons!)

I've been going through a dry period of not writing often on the blog, but I am not down and out! Oh no, I'm still here, still the original Jungletart from February of 2006, and I still Roar!

I have some good things going on in my life right now. I am doing the 'Baking Opportunity' which just got very 'real feeling' since I got Finally got paid on Thursday. Yaaaay!

I am now also a Library Volunteer at my local library. See my sister blog of goodness and happiness, Jungletart's Good Stuff for more happiness and joy on the subject!

I will be a Newspaper Indexer, yes, an unpaid position, entering geneology information into my state's database. I am so excited about this!

I feel I have been led by God to this position, not even knowing now how it will all 'pan out,' what its true purpose is in my life.

I doo think it will teach me more time management at home, structure my day more (one of my goals - see sidebar), and teach me what it's like to be self-disciplined and work at home.

It seemed to just fall in my lap now, after I had done the work by filling out the application and WAITING, months I believe, to actually be called. To be called.:)

This job is right up my alley, since I love to be on the computer and be at home and be away from people. Yup, you heard it here, I can be alone and happy for looooong periods of time.

Heck, my husband's home now, and I'm in the home office typing away. I should probably get off of here and go hang out with him!

So, as it may work, for either a bipolar or just anyone, I don't know, a dry period is punctuated by a 'wet period' where I can type more or maybe I just have more to say.

Maybe I just saved it up for a while and now it all comes tumbling out. Maybe I'm just feeling better because I'm amped up on a Mega dose of Antibiotics.

That reminds me, besides all my psychotropic meds for bipolar and heart oriented things (high blood pressure & high cholesterol) they put me on antibiotics because of this Really Ugly Bug Bite on my leg that is very infected and almost sent me to the hospital to receive intravenous antibiotics(!).

Who knew a bug bite could be such a whopper? And I believe I received this in my backyard, too!

The Doc will see me on Aug. 21, to check on that and to check on the second kidney, etc., test they took on me a few days ago.

It seems the numbers are funny and he wants to make sure they are consistently funny before deciding what to do about it.

I Certainly Hope none of this will interfere with my real vacation coming up on Aug 28 - Sept. 1!

August 28 is the national holiday of my birthday for some already, and soon to be sweeping the world, I am sure!

I am soooo excited because my inlaws have actually invited us to a major beach (we are their second choice but that's okay, because I'm goooooing!!!) for that weekend!

I hear there is a pier there and I am looking forward to casting my hook in its probably overfished waters. Yaaaaay! I'm such a kid.

I have also lost 5 pounds, by being good and having salads and sort of watching my Points (a Weight Watchers thing)!!

I have finally gotten under a certain number so I hope this is not losing bizarre water weight or something - but as you can tell, I'm Happy about it! Let's hope this is Real!

Also, I started Physical Therapy again on Monday for my back. Oh, this is good stuff people!

If you have problems with your back, you should know about strengthening your core, the muscles in the abdomen are going to help.

And you've got to learn how to activate those muscles without giving yourself a sway back (if you're like me and have scoliosis and naturally want to stick out your butt when trying to find where the heck those muscles are located!).

I'm supposed to practice 'activated my core' when sitting, standing, washing dishes - basically doing anything!

And the best part is today its Friday, and I feel like I get it, it's working. I'm keeping myself up straighter. I'm even imagining myself without any tire around me, I AM STRONG! or at least tall, purty and straight-backed!

And there you have it. I have been busy. Oh, and about that baby shower - we decided that we can only afford one trip states away this year (and hardly that!) and its going to be....drumroll......Christmas!!

Yes, Christmas is a big deal every two years in Husband's growing large family and we wouldn't miss it. Besides, as Raine pointed out, we will be able to see the actual baby then.:)

So, today, since I'm not going to the baby shower (and instead will be on vacaaation at the beach that day!) I shopped the baby registry online to buy gifts and am having them wrapped and sent to the lucky Mom for her shower.

Oh it was soo much fun! I'm not sad that I'm not the one having the baby, I'm genuinely excited for the Mom-to-be (Husband's cousin, states away) and now that they know they will have a daughter, it is just wonderfully fun.

I bought one item off their registry and then had to send them pink baby booties, which were not on the registry. I just think they are the cutest, most adorable things and what little baby girl couldn't use baby booties. Even if they got a ton, she can just start a shoe collection now.

And that's the goings ons for the Jungletart. Until I roar again...

Love, Tart

Check out the my 'sister blog' of joyousness!

Just missing Tracy something Fierce and posting a few good things over on my other blog of joyousness this evening. :)

I have pictures of my fish I caught on Tuesday, July 15th, and a rundown of all the wonderful things I have made so far at my bakery job as well as the recipe of what I cooked in a slow cooker this evening so that I could have a yummy dinner with my Husband and not have to run to McDonald's or the like tonight.

I don't know if Tracy knows how much she is missed, but I guess she will when she returns from vacation in the next couple of days.:) I consider her one of my best friends, heck I don't have many friends, so this is just going on Tooo Long and I will be so Glad when she is back!:)

So, I'm done posting for the evening, I'll see ya later!:)

Once a Wonder Woman always a Wonder Woman!

See here for a Yahoo article on Lynda Carter finding a body in Washington, D.C., with no cellphone, and doing the right thing!

Have you ever wondered about my fascination with Lynda Carter, or the (I assume) Marvel character of Wonder Woman, that she played in the 70's show of that name? I was 5 when that was on TV and I LOVED her. I loved the show, I loved the character, I loved the first comic book that the tooth fairy left me (Thanks Mom!), and over the years I loved what a classy lady Ms. Carter turned out to be. She's got a lot to live up to and I think she almost supercedes her character!

This morning on Yahoo I was reminded of her fair-minded ways, doing the proper thing. And no Miss Wonder, Miss Wonder Woman, not everyone does the right things. I love you.
Again, see here.

Good News Folks

Turns out there is good stuff out there, just like I state on my other blog.

But I say that so sarcastically, as it seems so difficult for the majority of whatever to accept that there are even minor amounts of joy out there, thaaat I'll post some At-least-I-had-a-happy-Christmas and others do-have-happy-lives, here (after all, fake drama is not necessary in many people's lives. Most have real drama and real happiness). Hunh.:

Executions Decline Elsewhere, but Texas Holds Steady

That's a special for Mark LofTI’s, whom I'm sure wouldn't mind seeing a nasty lawyer given the juice. It must happen sometime, what with Texas electrocuting 60% more than the rest of the country. Proudly, of course, and why not?!

Isn't that great? Oh, check the other blog for the Real Happy Stuff. As if I'd waste it here.:)

I am so bored!

The Black Crowes, the early days (OB-viously, because they still had (3rd fr. left) Jeff Cease (a-hole!) - oooh, for that matter (1st)Mark Ford (beloved but problematic druggie!) (2nd from left) Chris, you can eat, sleep, whatever at my house any day! I'm STILL so IN LOVE with him! s-wooon:)

God, it just sux when:

1) I'm having heated, hating times with myself these days. I can't explain how everything has gone to hell in a hand-basket, and I've realized that one of the utter conondrums of this illness is that sometimes you just gotta say: I can't explain it.
For once, experiencing these overwhelming feelings comes first before trying to be so damn introspective and figure out how to describe, explain, or hide/be more perfect in a nice way all for some (mostly undeserving) one else.

I gotta do what I gotta do, for me, because none of 'y'all' live with me, my therapist is useless (despite the many chances I've given her to be of some worth) and if my pdoc doesn't flat out give me a prn of some kind when I see him Monday, I may just check myself into that ridiculous pretense of a mental hospital, now behind our regular hospital.

(I'm thinking valium, but apparently they don't 'do' that anymore. They also don't 'do' Ativan anymore, which they utterly refused to give me when I was back in the hospital in '05. I was told it is as addictive as 'cocaine.' I took Ativan every single night for nearly 6 months in 1994-95, but they absolutely would not give it to me recently.)

I've come to throwing things. Husband hasn't discovered the several boxes I have thrown to and fro in my dining room and kitchen this morning. When my cat knocked down an enormous stack of stuff I printed in my office, I have not bothered to pick it up. I'd drop a match on this tinderbox, but I like my bed and having a place to sleep.

If you want a taste of bipolar, check out my 'Molly perfect' crap over on the other blog just days ago. http://jungletartsgoodstuff.blogspot.com/ Point is, the slide between emotions happens much quicker than most would imagine, and I know you all can imagine a lot. The swinging pendulum of joy & hate is but a simple and expected occurance with the ol bipolaroo.

I don't know how anybody else's bipolar, or life, is, but I have way to much passion in mine. What they need is a 'passion-o-meter' just like a blood-pressure cuff - pump that baby up, they would find that mine is Off the Charts and I need immediate long term coma-like medicating.

I feel too damn much. If we could just find a job that harnesses that I would be a billionaire. This is not about feeling sorry for myself or any of that crap. I'm saying 5 words that should be the mantra at the top of my blog, it ought to just be my entire blog: I feel too much. To the point that it hurts.

Sadly, I know people too 'emotive stupid' to even grasp that, how many times have I told you about them? The fact that they get minor problems in their life is not enough - I just want to shake them, maybe a slap or hit or too. The knowledge of their very existence adds too much to my hell.

**

It's crap, this Christmas spirit thing. Mostly it is pressure, pressure, pressure - and that's just in picking out gifts for people. We're poor and my husband has caviar taste. I like nice things, I like for our relatives to receive nice things but we have one income (I don't count my SSDI, as nobody else does here either) and honey, he's not an engineer (to his father's great chagrin).

We have not decorated, not one iota. No lights, not even a Christmas tree. It's not that I wouldn't like to love the season again (hello, first Christmas w/out Dad!) I'm just sad/mad, greiving, hating life and that doesn't stop just because it's Christmas! We haven't bothered - we're unconscioubly lazy, and I'm feeling no pain about not putting all that stuff up.

I was broken out of my hermit-like existence yesterday, to find my neighbors from across the street standing on my porch, asking me if I had seen anything, because someone stole their enormous snow globe thing right out of their yard. !

These people have shown the most 'spirit' in our neighborhood, in terms of really lighting up their house, having several nice ornaments in the yard and now some bastard stole one of them. (Thank God I haven't bothered to put anything in my yard!)

That, and the fact that my cat escaped for 2 seconds which I freaked out over, and he dutifully went back in. It took me pretty much the whole day to get over all of it.

I didn't realize I was a 'hermit' until I asked Husband (he's like the only human that comes into my moseleum here) and he confirmed it sheepishly.

I might as well be Islamic (cause they keep their women indoors & jobless - which is pretty much my life. Maybe I can get points for both my Christian and Islamic side?) Except that I like driving myself. The dress code would be handy, as I don't wash my hair for daaays (hello, get a scarf collection & a couple of potato sacks and I'm set!!).

Oh, and recently I sincerely thought about stop eating pork products. Not because of religious reasons, I just really like pigs. They're so cute! (Hello! Babe in the City! Charlotte's Web! The County Fair!) They seem like good mothers, just laying there while 15 adorable piglets suckle off them.

I'm not into hating Jewish people though, and you're kidding yourself if you think Islamics don't. Hate. Haven't God's people been through enough?

I have ordered some beautiful cards from Hallmark and for the first time ever I'm having each imprinted, which I can't get over how neat or fufu that seems to me. Then I ordered my magnets - surprise, surprise, surprise: they've got my cat on them, and pithy saying, just so people understand that he is representing us this year.

That's because Husband & I never had a decent picture of us taken this year, except when we entered an amusement park, and bought the image of our fat selves on a key chain. A little hard to download to these sites for the magnets.

My cat is the prettiest one of us, and all the relatives know our dog because we drive 15 hours so we can bring her when we go see them. It's time they meet Fangface.

Plus, neither Husband or I felt like gussying up (in my case taking a shower) to snap a quickie on the digital camera. So Husband thinks my choice of cat magnet is cool. Damn right it is.

2) reason why life sux:

When the 3-4 I check up on every day don't write anything new for a month. Don't get mad that I mentioned it. After all, I'm a hermit and have no concept of jobs, schedules, other people's stress and their inability to realize this lack of writing is adding to my boredness even more, or apparently how much of a crime that is. So Get on it!

Somebody Hacked Into My Site!

Yeah, some fiesty bipolar beyotch has been tapping into my things. I couldn't stop her when she said:

"Gee, Turkey, why you being such a big baby? The Congo still supports our war and we call them genocidal maniacs all the time."

"What up Soviet Union? If you don't want us to bomb Iraq, we'll start with your ass first and THEN get them. Since when did anyone give a 'Putin what you think?"

If you pay attention, this world is getting scarier all the time. I thoroughly believe that this Administration has never really had a clue which end goes up, and I'm sure it doesn't help when other people, besides real Americans, keep making unfair demands. Recently, people who ought to know better, like the ones above, seem to be coming out of the woodwork.

To top it off, David Letterman, usually a stalwart, trusted entertainer, at least in Husband's point of view, has been very off his game and as always, its Tart's job to point this stuff out.

For instance, I understand he hedged around what so many celebrity-slobbering-focused individuals want to know - Is Jennifer Lopez cooking a bun in the oven under all those loose fitting designer clothers? It sounds like he was loathe to ask her the important questions, much like the very painful espisode of 'The Daily Show' where Jon Stewart interviewed Lynn Cheney, which I did see. That was so painful because Mr. Stewart could not use any form of love and laughter with this lady because she is such a bitch.
Yes, you heard it here, I think our Vice Pres-wife individual is a horrible bitch (oooh, I mean that chick who hacked in today, does). She looks like the kind of hag I hate most: if the hair is teased and you're wearing your little gold earrings, you are all powerful.
I'm not even saying anything about her views, which are all wrong as well. We had to listen to her convoluted history entanglement, that twists things the way she wants it, because Jon Stewart was absolutely terrified of her, like they had threatened to bag him and beat him after the show if she didn't get her piece in.
Well, you know what Lynn Cheney and your lying, torturing administration can do?: bite me, I CAN see through you. While everybody got so entangled in the Jena6 (somebody DID beat the crap out of some kid, did they not? And is that not only against the law but against what society expects of human interaction??? The hanging of nooses is inflammatory, symbolic, upsetting, a hate crime and not right but does not justify revered leaders, whatever the color, to walk and speak with no care for the law and reality. I believe Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton just wanted the good 'ol days back, I don't see any real care for right or wrong, and I see their participation as a sign from the devil. I believe they should save themselves to properly explain and uphold righteousness for an ever-confused youth, not take part in every idiot party that comes along) nobody takes up the fight, or the banner, of the complete trashing of American and world-wide human rights that the Bush administration not only upholds, but then turns around and lies about. This administration is built on lies and travesties, with those in the know fighting for every classified, marked document, just to show the rest of us tip of the iceberg. I can no longer watch him, I'm not interested in the streaming videos, in the beginning for the verbal idiocy (by 2005 there was a daily calendar dedicated to his 'dumbisms' that we read at my job with the liberal media. Now I fear how much he has f'kd us in every aspect, from human rights to how much he has set us back environmentally. I think some bad stuff will come out about him. I just want him gone, and can only hope the next won't be worse.
Then I here that Mr. Letterman picked on Richard Simmon's outfit ruthlessly during his time in the 'chair.' Dave if you continue with this we're going to kick you off and say that your expiration day has come.

Mr. Simmon's is the sweetest of fairies (a lovely, delicate gay man) that gives hope to fat chicks everywhere (yup, that includes me). He's lost a lot of weight, he did it a long time ago and Mr. Simmons has kept off. He's proud of it and if he's not afraid for the world to see what looks like on a no-cellulite thigh day, then who the hell are you to pick on him? I'm thinking when it's all said and done, Dave, you probably wear something like this to bed.:)

Worth contemplating doing differently

I was up this morning (!) and perhaps unfortunately watched some of the news, and saw the blurry footage of the woman having a small conniption in the airport and being taken Down in custody, which I think most of us are aware eventually ended somewhat mysteriously with her death in the holding cell.

I have thought a lot about it today. I was so proud of the words her husband said of his wife. I am very heartened that he spoke frankly of her illness of alcoholism and how she was embarrassed to get help, and how wrong that was.

For people to even speak of our illnesses, mental illnesses, is such a wonderful step in the right direction, that people, it makes the Tart cry.

I would be lying if I said that I hadn't been at odds with the idea of alcoholism as an illness before, but I really should say I have been so blessed to only experience the horrible and nasty bipolar that I'm too familiar with, sans the alcohol problem, and it is not up to me to designate what someone else's horror is.

Many times I have come across the users of alcohol and drugs while in my various hospital stays, and in exactly that same place I have had anorexic roomates, all of us to go to our separate meetings and Dr. visits. We were all in the same hospital.

Well, that is all a tangent, an explanation of previous things said on the blog and an admitted retraction, as I come to understand how diabilitating bipolar is on its own, alcoholism is on its own, and the two combined together is most likely a tornado of hurt that I do not want to ever minimize for anyone.

But my thoughts about what I really feel is just a terrible situation, and bizarre ending, for this poor woman go further. It's something else her husband said. What if this situation could have been turned around, if she could have been calmed down, if just one person would have took it upon themselves to put an arm around her shoulder, or just spoke to her kindly, instead of say, taking her down like an animal, like she was screaming, "I'm ready to lob a bomb!" instead of the exact freakin' opposite!?

Would you have the courage to do that? Would I?

Would we be able to see that this lady was unstable and needed us? Would any of us, because it is obvious no one did that day, be able to get over the apparent innate belief we have that it is 'inappropriate' to get involved with another person's life? And, here's the worst question of all, but similar to the last: "Has this society gone so far in supposed individualism; a 'don't bother others, they probably won't bother me; take care of your own sh_t; it's clearly not my problem - attitude" that it is beyond us to comfort another?

I mull these thoughts in my mind, and they concern me. I know that empathy is not everyone's forte, but I just think a change must take place, if simply in the individual heart, and I'm willing to work with just mine, here.

Having been a person who HAS flipped out, and not just once in my life, I'm grateful for the small kindnesses given me, often by EMT workers, eventually nurses, and the like, not to mention my family and my bitty tight core of real friends.

I admit sometimes I am so anti-people and convinced they'd probably slit my throat when I'm not looking that I may not be one to make such a pledge as this and truly pull it off: But I don't want another one to die on my watch, you know what I'm saying? May I, just like everyone else, stop being a hypocrite for even a moment and really practice the beautiful, "Love One Another As I Have Loved You."

Additionally, and this thought Can Not have come to me first ('cause it's brilliant!), since the entire flying deal has become so stressful for Everyone, why not have sensitivity training and put special emphasis on this for a person in charge of security and do this in all of our nation's airports?

Also, I find it odd that they left this woman alone. My days working in the Men's Department of Sears taught me that Security would never leave a female suspect alone. (For some reason I got pegged as the 'female associate' to assure everything was on the up and up.) This woman at the airport only had an outburst, not completed a true criminal act, and was obviously mentally unstable - why did they leave her alone? These are all good reasons to have female staff on your security and treat everyone on the up and up.

America are you listening?!?

Ahem!...Please see the Sister Blog (Jungletart's Good Stuff)

I've done a little posting over at the Other blog - my showcase of 'good stuff' - known memorably as 'Jungletart's Good Stuff.' I just have an overwhelming amount of stuff to post over there, not all of it is up yet.

It's funny because I have gone so long without expressing blatant happiness on the blog, which is what I use that one for anyway. I'm not over the things that cause me hurt, infuriation, sadness - I'm still a bipolar! And I hear I'll be one until my last breath.

I guess I'm not going to pursue the medical record thing anymore, not only because the Mage gave good advice (TY, Mage:) but my Mom actually had smart things to say about it, namely its not in my best interest to get sick over this (being nothing but frustrated with these people is not good for my mental health) and Dad certainly wouldn't want me to do that. So I guess I'm calling off the dogs. But they keep barking in the backyard, and everyone says, 'Just let them go!' I hope a nice shelter will pick up my anger issues and find them a new home.

So you see, true to form I b-ytced on the correct blog and place happiness upon the other. You don't want to miss that! J.'s Good Stuff is back in business!:)

Vive!!! Tart's new sister blog is up and running!!!!!!!

All right kids! Behold my new sister blog is up and running (JungleTart's Good Stuff)! I wanted to have a separate place to put my accomplishments: crafts, cookin,' etc. Also, I want it to be a place of inspiration, to talk about the good deeds of others and women who truly inspire. I would like it to be a place to spread some fantastical joy, once in a while.

So what is Adventures going to be? Well, I guess everything else, and what it's always been! Adventures will still continue to have 'good stuff' too! It doesn't always have to be a 'house of rant' either, because I'll keep on talking about my life, good or bad, keep on posting pics, mine or Webshots/someone elses, and all the other thoughts big and small that come in my head. But now, I will have a special place to showcase some of the other things I do, besides blogging, checking my email, karoakeing, watching television and movies, thinking about reading (I have started doing that more!), etc. So:

Vive the sister blog, JungleTart's Good Stuff! A new baby blog is BORN!
